Giovedì scorso sono passato al CSO Pedro a salutare i ragazzi del CopyRiot che parlavano di reti wireless, sicurezza, insicurezza, strumenti per giocarci:

Non mi sono ancora fatto un giudizio preciso sulla nuova coppia che in questi giorni è sulla bocca di tutti: i fidanzatini Microsoft e Novell.

Nel frattempo trovo interessante la posizione di David Sugar, che non è certo una testa calda, ma in questa occasione usa toni abbastanza accesi:

«However, it is in the second thing, in endorsing, participating in, and supporting Microsoft’s patent extortion racket, that Novell has truly jumped the shark and pulled a “SCO”, and in doing so has become both a danger to freedom everywhere.»

e ancora:

First and foremost we must stand together in solidarity and not let the enemies of freedom succeed in their game of divide and conquer. If Novell has violated the letter of the GPL as well as its spirit, those of us who maintain packages that are distributed today as part of SuSE/Novell GNU/Linux must exercise our option to issue cease and desist orders. When dealing with a dog with rabies, even if once a loved family pet, it is best to put such an animal down before it also has the opportunity to infect others. As for thugs like Microsoft, they must be treated as the cancer to business and society that they are.»

Sul sito di no1984 contro il Trusted Computing oltre ad esserci un po’ di informazioni che tutti dovrebbero leggere c’è anche una sezione dedicata ai banner che si possono usare per rimandare al sito e fare quindi un po’ di informazione e propaganda.

Purtroppo se ne parla troppo poco fuori dagli ambienti informatici sensibili alla questione, quindi invito tutti a mettere un banner di qualche tipo ben visibile sui propri blog, sui propri siti, ovunque. A me piace un sacco quello ad angolo che non si sposta nemmeno con le cannonate che ho inserito nel mio blog (sul sito è spiegato come si fa). Altrimenti ci sono i banneroni classici come questo:
